I've been here about 5 times and each time I've enjoyed myself. The fish is fresh and quality, at an accessible price point. (~$16/roll) The menu is huge, with diverse options ranging from cold rolls, baked rolls, deep fried rolls, sashimi, donburi (rice bowls), udon, & ramen. They serve beer wine saké and soju. They have a lunch special under $20 for bento box combos M-F 11:30am-2:00pm. It is on the corner of a block in the Sebastopol Business District. It's a bit off the beaten path but I don't mind. Makes it feel like a hidden gem There is plenty of free street parking. The ambiance is quiet & casual, the place is clean. The owners/workers are very welcoming and friendly. Their hours vary so make sure to check before you go. Pictured: Tonkotsu Ramen & the Kamura Roll

Kamura Sushi has always delivered an amazing Japanese food experience with my takeout meals. Tonight we had the dinners chicken teriyaki and salmon teriyaki. I was pleasantly impressed with the flavor of the teriyaki. It was not overly sweet. The garlic edamame and the deep fried California roll were delectable. Tempura mixed appetizer is a favorite. Yes, the furnishings maybe be "drab" but the experience and flavors are top notch. Thank you Kamura will order again soon.

If you can overlook the drab atmosphere, Kamaru has really good food at possibly the lowest prices in Sonoma County. $14 Tuna Tataki was excellent; if this dish was $20 at a fancier restaurant you would be quite happy. Tempura was also excellent, batter wasn't too thick, perfectly crispy & generous for the size. Garlic Edamame was delicious, super well prepared. The Makis were nice & tight, everything was fresh and tasty... look forward to exploring more of the menu.

We came here for the first time last night for dinner. Parking was easy to find right out front. Ordered an appetizer of Agedashi Tofu, a specialty roll (the Big 3), and two dinner entries. I have to say it was a step up from most Japanese restaurants. Everything was so very good. The Agedashi tofu was freshly made with wonderful flavor, and the specialty roll was quite excellent. And the salmon Teriyaki and Chicken Katsu-don were tasty and filling. We will be going back again soon!

I came here thinking i had reservations at 8pm. They said they didnt seat anyome after 8pm. Instead of dismissing me they looked at incoming calls from the night before when i made the call. They proved that it wasnt them that i called and they did so gracefully and professionally. They made my vegetarian sushi quickly and sent me off with a smile and a very kind greeting; the woman came around the counter to hand me the food and the chef whom i suspect is the owner gave me a kind smile. He seemed like such a good person that i would return to his restaurant any day. The restaurant is small in a residential area but just enough for some sushi!

Very impressed! South west Santa Rosa is not always the best place to look for Sushi. And the location is odd for sure. But the reviews were good and so close, so worth a shot. We ordered the Sashimi dinner, Which for the cost was generous. The fish was delicious and clearly fresh. We also got the 49er roll, which was wonderful. The miso soup was really interesting, it was really dark, rich and different then most I have had. We will definitely be back!
